In the Church of the Holy Trinity in Stratford-on-Avon. There is a sculpture of Shakespeare (one of only a very small number of images with any hope of being accurate) on the monument. The inscription reads (the spelling and punctuation have been modernized):
††††††††††† Good friend, for Jesusí sake forbear
††††††††††† To dig the dust enclosed here.
††††††††††† Blest be the man that spares these stones
††††††††††† And curst be he that moves my bones.
