To serve as a quick reference source in the classroom and as a memory refresher while studying for exams, these cards summarize key facts about Shakespeare and his plays. One card is a fact sheet about Shakespeare’s life and his place in Elizabethan drama. Each of the other cards deals with a single play by listing its cast of characters, a scene-by-scene plot summary, and notable quotes (with explications when needed). These cards also include "fact sheets" about the historical backgrounds of the plays, fascinating "trivia" about the plays, and "dichotomies": divergent critical opinions raising central questions about the meanings of the plays.
