I don't know anything about the historical MacBeth, but in the
play the man undergoes a gradual change of personality. he goes
from being someone faithful to his King to being a man who craves power
and what he perceives as his rightful destiny. They say power currupts,
and that's what this play is about. Also, that murder corrupts
one in worse way. The character of MacBeth might be likened to
a Luke Skywalker who fell prey to the dark side.
