Yes, and we knew their names within their lifetimes.

Which is another reason why what you propose is extraordinary. Eyewitnesses have attested that, for instance, Dalton Trumbo actually wrote THE BRIDGE ON THE RIVER KWAI, and attributed it to Pierre Boulle. Evidence is readily available.

OTOH, there are NO eyewitness who has ever stated that Oxford or anyone else wrote Shakespeare. And there are plenty of people who knew both men and indicated that Shakespeare was the actual author of Shakespeare's plays.

So, to prove your case, you need to show some extraordinary evidence that will call into dispute the perfectly natural occurance of an author putting his own name on his work. Let's see it.
