Oxford's Bible

"Oxford's" Bible (which incidentally is only identified as "Oxford's" because it has the Oxford family crest on the cover, so it could have belonged to any member of his family) has approximately ten times more annotations which have *no* correlation to anything in Shakespeare. Also, there are a huge number of biblical references in Shakespeare which are *not* annotated in the "Oxford" Bible. I won't go into the mathamatics in detail, but the so-called "correlations" between Shakespeare and the "Oxford" Bible can be shown to be not statistically significant (i.e. more likely to be due to chance than design). You'll be able to find the method in any statistics textbook.

Also, many of the annotations were cut off when the Bible was cropped to be re-bound for the Oxford family. In other words, the annotations existed before the Bible came into the pasession of the Oxford family.
