There are so many funny people in Shakespeare that it is hard
to tell you who the funny people are, but to pick up on the
idea of comic relief, the is the "knocking on the gate"
scene in Macbeth where the comedy dissolves the tension
immediatly after the murder of Duncan. There are a number of
tools or clowns in plays like King Lear and The Tempest.
Check Malvolio in Twelfth Night.
