Same thing. Claudius is the villain; Gertrude is to be disliked because she married Claudius so soon after her husband's death (with the implication that she was possibly involved in the murder and perhaps even was having an affair with Claudius), Polonius is the loyal henchman.Now, Shakepeare gave his villians motivations and was much more aware of the ambiguities of evil, but it's pretty much the same thing.
