"Admit" in sonnet 116...

WS's choice of words in 116 has really confused me. I've done some
research, but the intended meaning of "admit"
(either to allow in or to recognize) remains unclear.
Is this supposed to remain ambiguous? At this point, I'm ready
to write two explications on the sonnet, one for each meaning of that word.
