it seems...

Romeo and Juliet marry, without parent's consent. Tony and Maria marry not with religious or legal authorities, but in their make believe scene at the seamstress shop. Both couples have sex , one of the couples out of wedlock. In both plays there is a tragedy that makes their passion for each other intense: The death of the heroine's relative. In r&j its mercutio (?) and in t&M its bernardo. hope it helps.
