There's a journal about this subject

I found a journal written about this subject a few months ago while
researching Hamlet. It's called "The Character of Hamlet's Mother."
I am going to try to find it and maybe I can fax it over to you
or give you the author and the publication it appeared in when I
actually find the paper.

But you must consider this point--->Despite the criticism Gertrude
has received, she still posseses the single virtue not so commonly
noticed in other characters. Her speech in the play are concise
and to the point. Unlike her sons, plethora of lexicons and solilloquies,
Gertrude's words are short and to the point. Here are a few:
"More matter, less art."
"Me thinks the lady doth protest too much."
"As kill a king?"
