look at the beginning and the end

In the beginning of the play, she marries Othello against her
father's wishes. (And I would guess, against many's wishes
seeing how Othello is "different.") After Othello's jealousy
begins to take action, he starts being very cruel to Desdemona.
Instead of leaving him, as she left her father, she stays. And
also she is portrayed as a very weak-willed character. (Othello
tells her to go away, she goes. He tells her to wait a minute,
she waits, etc.) And at the end, she not only dies trying to
protect Othello, but says that she herself was responsible for
her death; she degrades herself to help him.
