Hero

Scroll down to a question and some responses about Ophelia; much of what is said there applies to Hero. She is, to a great extent, more plot device than character, and isn't filled out very much. But, of course, this is a comedy and, generally speaking, comedies tend not to have as fully-developed characters as serious plays (Generalization: the more "real" a figure is, sometimes the harder it is to laugh at him.)
