weak woman who will not defend herself

My exact essay topic is "Analyze the change in Desdemona from a strong woman, willing to go against her father's wishes publicly to the weak woman who will not defend herself."
She was strong and went up against her father's wishes and married Othello. Then she wouldn't even defend herself about the accusation of adultery by her husband. Do you know of any websites that are good. I need to find critical essays on Othello. Thanks!!
