Good start

You're further along than you realize, just by seeing what the likely questions are. Indeed, why have the two daughters marry such different men? Why does S want to show that a good man could have been temorarily caught up in the evil? (Hint: how does that affect our judgment of Lear for misjudging his daughters?) Does the fact that Regan has a husband as evil as her help us see something about her (e.g., would we have had the chance to see her bloodthirstyness without the blinding scene?) and the fact that Gon has a nicer husband illuminate anything about her (e.g., does his revulsion help us know how to react)?
