Hamlet - optimistic

I have always come away from a good production of Hamlet
with a feeling of catharsis, even joy. Though tinged with
grief, it is never depressing. This is not true of many
of the modern, hopeless tragedies. So I would have to say
that Hamlet is an optimistic tragedy.
