how 'bout Falstaff's (deflated) retelling the the robbery?

Falstaff reconstructs the past when he lies about the
robbery. Perhaps this is part of the lesson which
Hal learns from F. And Hal's soliloquy - "I know you
all" deals explicitly with the way his future will
revise his past: deeds that look shameful will become
a foil to set oof shining deeds.
