Can Lady Macbeth, Gertrude, and Ophelia all be characterised by ambition?

I am doing a paper, due (of course) at the end of the week.
In this paper, I am attempting to investigate the similarities
among Lady Macbeth, Gertrude, and Ophelia. At this point I believe
that all three of these women can be characterized by ambition.
Is my thinking totally off-base?
