Jealousy

As I recollect it is because he is jealous of the attention and love
that Titania bestows on the Indian boy. She has stopped paying as much
attention to Oberon as he would have liked, and by removing the boy from
Titanias reach he hopes to "break the spell" that keeps Titania's love
from him.
