Settings

In a way you're making the negative argument rather than the positive one: most plays are set in the "real" world, and DREAM is the interesting exception. Make yourself a chart of two columns: Athens and Forest. Then list contrasts: who rules, how law-driven, what time of day, presence or absence of magic (fairies, etc), and so on. You'll soon see that the forest is virtually another dimension, with its own non-ordinary characteristics. The only point to make about 12Nite is that it DOESN'T do that.
