Can Hamlet's response to Claudius' queries as to the whereabouts of Polonius' body be viewed as a comical moment in the tragedy, or is it wholly to be viewed as an expression of his madness? Is Polonius' death to be then taken lightly? (I believe this allows the reader to still accept Hamlet as a protagonist despite his murder of an innocent man).
