Don't forget about private schools and community colleges!

Many private schools offer courses on SHakespeare and community colleges tend to be more flexible about which courses you elect to teach. If you plan to teach Shakespeare, make sure that you study the plays from a literary perspective (close textual analysis) and a performance perspective. They go hand in hand and compliment each other very well. If you can, travel to London for a summer/semester and participate in a study abroad program that will put you in contact with RSC personnel. Enjoy! I've chosen the route of high school teacher and I love it!
