The simulated happiness expresses the seemingly perfect
atmosphere in the castle. The funeral has been forgotten,
the queen is happily remarried, the king gives amusing
parties, Polonius and Laertes are in the king's favor
and life is just easy and comfortable for everyone.

Then there is just Hamlet who believes in some "foul play"
and cannot stop the grief and mourning over his fathers
death while everybody else seems to have forgotten Hamlet sr.
