Many ways to teach Shakespeare

What a glorious and worthwhile aspiration!
I do the same!
There are many ways to teach Shakespeare. Unfortunately, college teaching positions are not easily found in the want ads.
My suggestion, create your own profession. My love of the Bard actually started my acting. In the past couple of years I have directed Shakespeare in a church basement, park and in a school gym with 105 five - twelve year olds. I also coach actors with audition pieces and classical technique. Although it is NOT a 9-5 job, it is very rewarding.

If you decide to go this route you will definately need a BA in Eng- don't go too specific. You'll need the other subjects to truly appreciate life! Even consider a minor or double major in History, most literature is bestunderstood through historical perspective!

Best of luck, now and forever!
