Mercutio's pun in Act II scene iv of R&J

In Romeo and Juliet, Act II, scene iv, lines 36-37, Mercutio says:

"O, their bones, their bones!"

This is the final quote from a long line of insults Mercutio
directs towards the Capulet Tybalt.

"Bones" is some sort of pun on the French word "bons", but I cannot
find the definition anywhere.

"Bon," on the other hand, means good (adj) or voucher (noun-masc.)

Can anyone figure out what the double-meaning is here?
