blood

Try thinking about how the imagery of blood changes throughout
the play. What does blood represent when Duncan asks "What bloody
man is that?" (I.ii.i) and in the rest of that scene. Then what
does it represent when it is all over Macbeth and Lady Macbeth
after the murder, and when it appears on the Murderer's face in
the banquet scene... And then what does it represent in the
final scene. I believe the word (and derivitives) is mentioned
some 42 times in the play. Go through and examine the situation
in different places where the word is mentioned.
