fair is foul

i agree with you. i think the whole play revolves around that general
statement. the play is full of contradictions. the biggest one being
of macbeth's change of character. in the beginning of the play it
was lady macbeth who was intent on killing the king and persuaded
macbeth to do so. she felt no remorse for the deed. but by the end
she felt guilty and couldnt erase the memory so she killed herself.
macbeth was the one who became desensitized and hungry for power
he did anything to maintain his position and keep the crown.
