Both are actors in S's theatre company. Kempe specialized in comic roles, and there is a little uncertain evidence that Hem may have specialized in old men. Hem was evidently a close friend of S's; he's mentioned in the will, and he and Condell collected S's plays into the first full edition in 1623.Posted by Hamlet on April 21, 1997 at 11:56:36
