suicide

the problem is whether she commited suicide or not. If she did, she cannot have a Christian burial. IF she didn't, on the other hand ("if the water drowned HER, and not the other way around, then it's fine" <-- the logic of the gravediggers), she gets a burial. The fact that the funeral was obscure and haste shows they thought something was funny with the whole deal....
