There's a recent version of Twelfth Night, directed by Trevor Nunn. Came out last year, I believe.You could look at the ways that Shakespeare used some of the techniques used by modern screenwriters (e.g. short scenes "cutting" from one location to another, and back again, to suggest parallel action) 300 years before cinema was invented. Maybe that's the reason why Shakespeare transfers to the screen so easily.
