Well... (again)

I recall the critic who insisted that R2D2 and C3P0 were
direct descendants of Sir Toby Belch and Sir Andrew
Aguecheek, from Twelfth Night.

As the prior response hinted, this may be "interesting," but
probative of nothing, unless Mr. Lucas himself has clarified
with a direct statement of his conscious choice of sources.
