Verdi composed another opera based on Shakespeare: Falstaff, based on the Merry Wives of Windsor. Benjamin Britten (British composer) composed an Opera about A Midsummer Night's Dream. Romeo and Juliet is also an opera composed by Gounod (French composer). Another very unknown french composer, Ambroise Thomas did an opera called Hamlet. Berlioz made an opera from Much Ado About Nothing and called it Beatrice and Benedict. One of the first operas of Richard Wagner, Das Liebesverbot (The Love's Prohibition) is based on Measure for Measure.
