Ophelia and Desdemona

Well, for one thing, they were both completely powerless against the fact that their man completely destroyed their lives
one for murder, the other madness followed by suicide. But that of course is universally known.
Another way that they are similar is the fact that they were both used by the people who were out for their loves.
Iago plotted Othello against Desdemona to get to Othello, and Polonius and Claudius used Ophelia to get to Hamlet.
One thing that is cute, i suppose, is the fact that Desdemona, on her death bed, speaks of a willow, and Ophelia is
on a willow when she dies.
