Yep

Othello is corrupted by his best friend Iago. He loves his wife, but trusts Iago, who is simply a twisted man bent on revenge. Othello kills his wife on a tip from Iago that she's cheating on him, and he cannot tell that the cheating is simply an illusion. Oedipus is too caught up in the search for the king's killer that he never stops to think, which is why he has four children with his MOTHER! The two are both so caught up in their own feelings, that they never stop and open their eyes, and are therefore caught in that state of limbo where reality and illusion are one, and are not easily discernible.
Hope this helps!
