I'll take a stab at it...

Okay, I'll take a crack at answering this. Hamlet was doomed to die the second he killed Polonious. That was a sin and the Elizabethean audiences wouldn't have stood for it if Hamlet, even if he was the "hero" of the story was not eventually punished for it. I think he did have to delay Claudius' killing because he was very much a thinking individual. If anything thinking too much was his tragic flaw, and he knows it. "And thus...resolution is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought..." Hamlet's indecision does indeed cause the whole tragedy. As for the second question you asked I'm not exactly sure what you meant, so I'll leave it alone. I hope I was of some help!
