Did Hamlet have a choice in his actions

I need to know if Hamlet had a choice when he did anything.
For instance, did he have a choice not to kill Claudius. In
Christianity, for instance, it is said that God will have the
ultimate revenge. Whether you are a christian or not, in the
play it is a very significant fact.
And ultimatly, did Hamlet make any good decisions. It seems
that all of the choices that he did make where bad one, i.e. he
didn't know what the consequeces would be.
Any help would be a greatly appreciated.
