Compare and contrast

In real life, different crazy people may have different symptoms, but that would be too confusing for a theatre audience, so any playwright wanting to put two crazy people into a play would have to make them crazy in the same way. Ophelia is obviously crazy, and since Hamlet doesn't go about handing out flowers and singing dirty songs, he's sane.
