In real life, different crazy people may have different symptoms, but that would be too confusing for a theatre audience, so any playwright wanting to put two crazy people into a play would have to make them crazy in the same way. Ophelia is obviously crazy, and since Hamlet doesn't go about handing out flowers and singing dirty songs, he's sane.Posted by Hamlet on April 17, 1997 at 08:20:27
