Try this...

There are some very good books which summarize known facts
about the business of theater in the period. Try G. E.
Bentley, _The Professions of Dramatist and Player in
Shakespeare's Time, 1590-1642_. Then follow footnotes -
see if a title he cites sounds promising. And so on.
