I'll look it up to make sure but I believe it was Susanna that was on the recusancy list. He apparently got her out of trouble though. I'll post the dates tomorrow. Also, there are those strange real estate transactions in London late in his career where he purchased what was apparently a dwelling used as a "safe house" for Catholic priests. Very interesting in light of his various portrayals of priests. I am thinking here of the spectrum going from Pandolph in KJ to Fr, Laurence in R&J.Posted by David Nava on April 02, 1997 at 10:50:44
