The work itself is evidence that Shakespeare could write
from any viewpoint, any gender, any sexual orientation. As
I wrote before, the fact that he could write Juliet's balcony
scene doesn't make him a fourteen year old girl. To pick just
one of the viewpoints which Shakespeare uses and say "this is
the real Shakespeare speaking" without a shread of external
evidence is speculation of the most invidious kind.
