Mistake

Made a tiny error in the last post -- it was
Ferdinand Stanley, the 5th Earl of Derby, who
was Shakespeare's patron. Ferdinand Stanley was
William Stanley's older brother, and owned the
company of actors which (after his death) was
taken over by Lord Hunsdon and became "The Lord
Chamberlain's Men."

However, both Stanley brothers knew Shakespeare
and his word.
