othello/ k. Branaugh's film/ Iago motivated by homosexual love for o?

what do you think? I looked for textual evidence to
corroborate Branaugh's scene with handkerchief followed
by intercourse a tergo with Emilia. Either I am blind
or Branaugh interprets differently. Still intrigued
by the possibility that in addition to being power mad
Iago wants Othello because he embodies all that he is
not.
