Who was in the right, Prospero or Caliban?

I am a student in Sydney, studying 3 unit English in year 12 and I have so many problems that I would like other people's opinions on...

*Why did Prospero really give up his Art, and did he ever free Ariel?
*Did any of the shipwreckees honestly repent at the end of the play?
*Is Caliban left on the island?
*I don't really understand Miranda at all, I mean she is very young, she had never seen a male (other than her father and Caliban) and yet she claims to be in love with Ferd.
*Is this play a reflection on Shakespeare's feelings ie, did he know that this was to be one of his last complete plays?

Twelfth Night
* Did Malvolio deserve the punishment laid on him by Sir Toby &co?
*How did Viola wash up in nice clothes, in the same area, and live for three months without anything being found out?

...and any other information on these two plays, or on Hamlet
