changing roles, changing nature

Consider that Hamlet was a kind of perpetual student of divinity, an introvert, when he had to assume the role of his father to cleanse the kingdom - first and foremost of the king's assassin. In other words Hamlet must assimilate being a father instead of the father that has died. He must become the father of the realm. At the same time there are some surrogate fathers there to confuse him. Who they are, you know.
