Twelth night or Twelve Night ???

Heard from a real Shakespeare adept (and my current director) that the original title of Shakespeare's
comedy was not Twelth Night but Twelve Night = Midnight. He translated it in Dutch as "Middernacht", t.i. Midnight (12 o'clock).
Is he right?
