Hamlet: Vengeance/Justice

Okay Sweets, here's what I think...
I honestly believe that Hamlet felt he needed to kill Claudius in order to seek vengeance/justice. I'm reading Hamlet for the 5th time and it never gets any easier to understand. Out of love and respect for his father, I think he was driven to the point where he had to commit murder. When someone is dead set on doing something, they never think of the consequences. The ghost appeared to Hamlet and told him to seek out revenge. And out of respect and love for his father, I believe he needed to kill Claudius. Even though Hamlet didn't actually end up as a hero, in his own conscience, I think he felt like one. It's also a little like the "an eye for an eye" theory. Well, this is only my opinion. hamlet was also so grief stricken and I definitely think that had a lot to do with him becoming so vengeful. Let's not forget Claudius getting it on with his mother! That would drive anyone to murder, I think! So it was a culmination of a lot of things! Well, I hope I helped! Have fun and good luck!!
