But, without information about the author's life, you can't know what is autobiographical and what isn't. There's no reason to believe that just the passages that "show" he is gay are the ones that are autobiographical; they could just as easily be the fiction (and are quite possible misinterpreted). That is the false assumption of those who use the fiction to "prove" anything about WS.Remember: Oscar Hammerstein wrote, "I'm in love with a wonderful guy," but he wasn't gay.
