Overstated, too

Our ignorance about Shakespeare is overstated too. For
Shakespeare, as for most renaissance folk, we lack the kind
of detailed biographical sources which we would tend to
have for more modern writers, but we have some things
and we have a lot frm the period, and so it isn't JUST
whistling in the dark to talk about the writers life.

But as it happens, I'm not asserting that he was "gay."
