Ophelia's death-was it on purpose?

Hi. I need help making a strong thesis statement for a project

Can anyone let me know what they think :

Ophelia was trying to make everyone around her see that Hamlet
was mad and she wanted to stop it.
Or:
Ophelia was confused with the death around her, so she could
only see one way to end it, her own death.
