Batman and Robin

Did you all see the last Batman, where Robin appears and
jim carrey is the Riddler in his campy green costume and
Batman and Robin are of course the hypertech leather boys.
I was sitting with my girlfriend watching it in a theater and
beside me were two gay guys who went nuts every time the
dynamic duo hit the screen. It was a camp, leather fantasy.
So... what we are talking about here is interpretation.
The Shakespeare plays get interpreted, as do comic books
on the big screen. don;t you think that someone knew that
people thought about a gay Batman and Robin? Or a gay Nacy
Drew and 'George', her tomboy girl friend? Interpretation.
This is what Shakespeare is about. Look athe current movies.
Anyway, everything ads, it doesn't detract. All this hub-bub
about what is right and isn't, all this adamant anit-gay,
Shakespeare never could've, didn't happen crap is academic
horse droppings by people who don't want anybody to have any
fun. What's the problem, eh? why can't we investigate an idea
without so much harsh resistance? Same reason jerry Falwell
called Ellen Degeneris "Ellen Degenerate." Real class. A lot
humanity. the same thread runs through this discussion.
it isn't about academics. It's about prejudice.
