Just because you see it, doesn't mean it's there.

What may look like "homeoerotic tension" to 20th century eyes may, to a 16th century writer, be utterly devoid of any sexual element whatsoever. You're like the homosexuals in the 1950s who swore up and down that Batman and Robin were gay. It just wasn't so -- they were merely projecting their own fantasies onto what they read.

Without any evidence, you can pick and choose whatever you wish, interpret it according to your own prejudices, and come to any conclusion whatsoever. That's sloppy thinking. Fiction is fiction and there's no way to tell what is autobiographical and what is not without having some idea of the author's biography.
